In addition to Annual Fund and outright gifts, donors may also make a "planned gift." Planned gifts allow you to benefit from tax benefits and capital gains, plus provide for your surviving beneficiary and ensure your family's future financial needs. Planned gifts can be revocable or irrevocable, depending on how they are set up. Certain planned giving vehicles enable you to receive a lifetime income from the asset given in Plimoth Plantation's name. A planned gift can include a bequest, a gift of real estate/appreciated property, life insurance, a charitable remainder annuity trust, charitable remainder unitrust, charitable lead trust, retirement plan gift or charitable gift annuity.
Plimoth Plantation's legacy society, the Society of the Rock, recognizes and honors those friends who have remembered Plimoth Plantation in their estate plans.
You will receive a handsome gift recognizing your commitment and your name will be added to the Legacy Society Membership Plaque in the Great Hall at the Henry Hornblower II Visitor Center.
It is easy to join the Society of the Rock. If you have already included Plimoth Plantation in your estate plans, simply complete our online pledge form, and check the box to indicate that you have remembered the museum in your estate or will. You may choose to join the Society of the Rock or remain anonymous.
If you would like to include Plimoth Plantation in your estate plans, but have not yet, there are many ways to do so. The easiest method is a designation in your will such as:
I give Plimoth Plantation, Plymouth, MA _____ dollars ($ _____).
OR
I give Plimoth Plantation, Plymouth, MA
____ percent (____%) of my estate.

A Gift of Life Insurance: You may give an old
(paid up) or new policy naming Plimoth Plantation as the beneficiary.
You may receive an immediate deduction for the gift’s value

The donor receives quarterly payments from the principal given to the organization based upon his or her age. You may receive immediate income tax deduction for the value, with capital gains tax savings over a period of time.
What is a Living Trust? A living trust includes plans for the charitable organization. You may save in estate taxes if the charitable organization is the beneficiary. You can change the terms of this trust at any time.
